800A 22KV TP OCB. explain
Answer / sudhakar g
OIL CIRCUIT Breakers are mainly used on the HT side like in Substations and the advantages of OCB is when ever arcing happens the Oil produces the hydrogen and it helps to reduce the Arcing, The disadvantage of the OCB mainly are there are not Eco friendly when the time of arcing, Oil in the Breaker decomposes and produce the carbon particles it pollute the air and if any defective OCB is installed means chances of Explosion chances are ther....In your case the 800A 22KV TP OCB means 22KV line used mainly in maharastra state 22/415V but in there also the Breaker used in HT panel also the rating is very low. Generally on HT side the HT panel breakers contain 2000A, 3200A like that but 800A is difficult to install on 22KV HT side....
