If we Dc supply to primary side of the transformer means
the Flux doesn't change and it causes the winding of the
Transformer will burn....

if we give dc supply to the transformer the primary side
winding will get induced emf which is constant ,but we
require an variable emf so that mutual induction takes place
and emf is induced in secondary of the transformer .if dc is
given for a longer period the transformer may get damaged

with dc supply reactance part of total impedance will be zero.
,,net impedance will be less,primary current will be high which will generate excess heat in winding,resulting in burning of pri winding
