As concrete making aggregates (fine and coarse) may have some moisture content and water absorption, designed water content may get altered which leads to alteration of W/B ratio. So, to bring the water content in the mix up to the designed level, one has to reduce the water content with respect to the water absorption and moisture content. This process of adjusting water content is known as moisture correction.
