Traffic in a city like Bangalore is one of the busiest not only in India but it is also one of the busiest in the world. Due to maximum number of vehicles, about 60 lakhs or 6 millions including two wheelers have made the roads difficult to commute. Parking space is one of the main problem. Therefore people tends to break rules by parking their vehicles wherever they can. The saying "everyone is so hurry to reach their destination in time but only few of them made it in time". Traffic in a city like Banglore is busiest i had ever seen before. Its mainly due to the number of vehicles which is increasing day by day here... I think it is about 60 lakhs of vehicles going around the city... Because of this air pollution and parking problem increased.... So people parking their vehicles where ever they can... But if the authority provides more BMTC buses, it will be more easy for passengers to arrive their destination...And by that way here we can reduce the traffic...

not busy but unruly and most disorganised.karnataka road tax charges are amongst the highest in the country. going by this alone, the road users who pay such hefty road tax expect good roads, parking facilities ( may be pay and park), clean roads, strict enforcement of road etiquettes and traffic rules. However, what you find are bad roads with filth lying all around and unruly traffic. I have never seen such utter disregard to traffic lights as you find in Bangalore. It is an accepted norm that when the light goes red, you can continue to keep crossing for about five to ten seconds. similarly, if the light is red and you find a small gap in the traffic flow for the green light side, you can squeeze through and drive past... even if it is a national highway. Even the lone policeman watching the terrible episode seem to endorse such dangerous and blatant violations of traffic rules. 'u' turns are 'acceptable almost anywhere. driving on the wrong side of the divider is also acceptable in most parts of Bangalore. all in all it is disgusting to see the so called IT capital of India turning into the 'city of lawless roads'. we have already gone through the transition from Garden City to Garbage city. Now this achievement of being the city of lawless roads will be a great addition to our caps. I happened to drive through Kerala recently( a state which charges a small fraction of what Karnataka charges as road tax). I was impressed to find the strict adherence to traffic rules. it appeared that jumping of red light and other traffic violations would attract near certain 'challan' and the fear ( or respect) for law was very evident. It was also heartening to see the courtesy displayed by other motorists. Bangalore cannot be permitted to degenerate the way it is doing now. Hope the bangalore traffic police and the Karnataka government together take appropriate action immediately.
