why the name of op amp is 741?..

Answer / stranger

The initials, IC, simply mean that the op-amp is made inside an integrated circuit. Op-amps have a total of 8 pins, and out of those 8 pins, 1 is inactive( pin no. 8) and 7 are active. 4 of the pins (2, 3, 4, and 7) supply the output, and one of the pins (pin 6) observes the output. So 7 means 7 active pins, 4 means 4 inputs, and 1 means 1 output.

Answer / satya

in op-amp 7 no.pin and 4th no.pin for main supply without
we cann't operate it and to set the problem of output
offset we use mainly 1 no.pin so main functioning of these
pin we called as 741 ic

why the name of op amp is 741?..

Answer / an engineer

All those relations with 7 pins 4 inputs and 1 outputs are just tips to remember the IC pins. The actual reason for it being called 741 is that ua741 was the first operational amplifier made available in the market by Fairchild company.
