3 ph motor connected in star delta starter. when we start
the motor it run in star but when in is going in delta it
trips the main incoming supply. why?

simple when motor start in star three phase going to
winding correctly but when its going in delta motor two
winding connect with 440votl but 3rd winding connect same
phase so motor going in singal phasing & its get heavy
currunt it trips the main incoming supply.

Two conterctor hold on star running time after some time a conteractor whose shrt three terminals has unhold and delta conteractor is hold it change only one sccond time.
if the timer switch is not working than creat a problam.

there are three point u have to check
1)first u check the motor winding.
2)check the timer and set the delta time.(appox 6sec).
3)If u are using mpd relay .May be your CBCT is saturated.
