rotation depen upon wings angle only
table fan wings angle is near 45 deg
but celling fan wings angle is near 135 deg
if u want exp celling wings connect opp direction then
start fan see the air flow , air flow down 2 up

In ceiling fan axial air flow vertically.so should rotate in anti clock wise direction.in table fan axial air flow horizontally .so it should rotate in clock wise direction.for air convenient only these direction r selected

In Ceiling fan rotor rotates & stator is fixed While in
Wall fan rotor fix & stator rotates.
