Always go for the CT primary suitable for about 40% higher
currents of the load current. So if the load current is
70A, you should opt for a CT primary of 98A, say 100A.
Secondary current rating of the CT will be dependent on the
input requirements of the measuring instrument (meter)/
Controller. Many such meters specially calls for an input
of 5A or 1A. Certain meters have the option to select 5A
or 1A input based on the secondary current of the CT.

CT range is 70/5A because it caluculates min to max current

What will be the size of cable required for 5.5 KW motor ( Full load current 10 Amps approx.), Starting current with DOL is 120 Amps. Aprrox. Short circuit current with LLLG fault is 2000 Amps Approx.
