2/3 solenoid is not correct.
Generally we call it as 3/2 way solenoid valves
Ex: 3/2 way SOV,4/2 way SOV,5/2 way sov...
And in 3/2---- 3 indicates number of ports
i,e., input,output and exhaust.
2 indicates---- 2 positions.One position is to open(change
the position) the corresponding equipment and the second
position is to close (change the position) the
corresponding equipment.

There is no 2/3 solenoid valve.
Solenoid valve are of following types:
1. 2/2 solenoid valve
2. 3/2 solenoid valve
3. 4/2 solenoid valve
4. 5/2 solenoid valve
Here top integer indicates ways or ports and bottom integer
indicates positions.

This is totally wrong answer because 2/3 is not correct ,3/2 is correct. First digit denotes way and second digit denote Position.In any cylinder maximum two position possible first is Open and second is close,no chance for third position.If create third Position that means this will be middle if this position have that means the cylinder is jammed.
And way means Input,out put and Exhaust ports

2/3 means this solenoid valve have 2 way and 3 ports. one
port is inlet, second is outlet and thisrd is exhaust. now
by these three port 2 combination are formed as (1) from
inlet to outlet (2) from outlet to exhaust. thus this
solenoid valve have two ways.
