what do u mean by compensating?in power plant where are
compensating done?how level , flow compensated?
Answer / jigar
1) Compensation means nullifying the effects of other
interfearing parameters.
2) In a power plant Temp. comp. is done for NG flow, Boiler
drum level(3 Element control) and Steam flow control.
3) Level can be compensated in Temp. Comp. Chamber(For DP
Type). Flow can be compensated by
F(Comp.)= F(actual)[{(P(actual)/P(Base)}* {(T(Base)/T
(Actual)}]1/2
