If the power is comming through the i/p or o/p device to
the io card then that i/o card is called sinking i/o card.
And if the power is transfered from io card to the i/p and
o/p devices then the i/o card is called sourceing io card

so if the power from the card is called sourcing
if the power from out side the card coming to it called
sinking
