current transformer steps up the voltage level thus current
come in the range of measurement, we can measure the
current easily
potential transformer steps down the voltage level thus
voltage come in the range of measurement, we can measure
the voltage easily

of high value in the lines,by connecting the device in
series with the line.
voltage transformer is also an indicating device which is
used to measure the potential across the line.
