the charcoal and salt are added in the earthing pit to simply increase the conductivity or in otherwords to reduce the resistance of the earth..this will give reliable earthing...

we that charcoal powder is a carbon content substance it act
as a semiconductor and salt is soluble in water , earth bit
after finishing time we put water required, now salt is
connected the earth electrode and char coal powder and
ground so we use them
