CAN ANYBODY EXPLAIN WHAT ACTUALLY MEAN BY THE PHASE
DEFFRENCE? R,L,C CIRCUITS?

Two oscillators that have the same frequency and different
phases have a phase difference, and the oscillators are said
to be out of phase with each other. The amount by which such
oscillators are out of step with each other can be expressed
in degrees from 0° to 360°, or in radians from 0 to 2π. If
the phase difference is 180 degrees (π radians), then the
two oscillators are said to be in anti phase IS CALLED PHASE

resistor, an inductor, and a capacitor,
connected in series or in parallel. The RLC part of the name
is due to those letters being the usual electrical symbols
for resistance, inductance and capacitance respectively. The
circuit forms a harmonic oscillator for current and will
resonate in just the same way as an LC circuit will. The
difference that the presence of the resistor makes is that
any oscillation induced in the circuit will die away over
time if it not kept going by a source. This effect of the
resistor is called damping.

ITS ME THE QUESTIAN IS ASKED,
In my concept the voltage is applied to a pure Resistor the
current developed with respect to the Voltage & Resistance.
So it is said to be inphase
in case of Inductor it wiil opposes the every
attempt to develope a current because of self induced emf.
So it is said to be lags.
The real conflict is with the Capacitor in which
current leads the voltage.
""DOES IT MEAN THE CURRENT BEFORE APPLICATION OF AVOLTAGE?""
can anybody answer it

am satisfied with the previous answering
but sir,
i want to know the physical significance of this lagging or
leading
or iwant to know what actually causes the current to lag or
lead. (it is the nature of the circuit may be the answer)
can you convey me this more conveniently
or in your words,
one oscilation of the same frequency is phase advanced
through the capacitor while phase lags in the inductor

inductor opposes change in current & capacitor opposes change in voltage. So I think it may be the reason why in inductor current lags voltage & the reverse case in case of a capacitor.& in a resistor current rises along with voltage.
that is why they dont have any phase difference...
that's what I think..
