Lineariy must be evaluated in case of analytical method
validation and calibration.

detect the performance of detector.if we increase the conc
of the sample vise versa the response is increased.the graph

If you are taking % area of a componant; there is no need to
take linearity in GC, But if you have to compare standard
against sample, you need to check linearity for GC also. eg.
if you are analyzing a gas sample on FID OR TCD detector,
your detector response must be linear.
