Reinforcement can last perpetually, i.e. forever if it is
propoerly encased in concrete.
Life of reinforcement reduces drastically and may not be
more than couple of years if its is kept exposed in
environment. The rate at which it deteriorates depends on
the environment conditions like temprature, humidity etc.

the life of the reinforcement depends on the design of the reinforced beams or columns bcz if the reinforcement is provided in a correct position in the beam ie we must provide more steel in the copression zone when compared with the tension zone so the life time of reinforcemnt depends on ur DESIGNNNNNNN

MORE THAN 15 MONTHS IN ANOTHER WORDS IF REINFORCEMENT IS
PLACED PROPERLY WITH PROPER FITTING ND MIXTURE APPLIED TO IT
ITS SAFE TILL MORE THAN 15 YRS ND IF KEPT IN OPEN
ENVIRONMENT THAN 15 MONTHS ARE ALSO LEES FOR REINFORCEMENT LIFE
