What is difference between incomer & outgoing type Vaccum Circuit Breaker?..

Answer / myo zaw

I think Main Incomer is like our house main switch like 60 Amp
and feeder is like our lighting switch or sub main breaker.
Because all the VCB structure of incomer and feeder is same but different is its current carrying capacity .Most of the incomer is for eg 33 kV , 1250 Amp and the feeder is 33 kV 630 Amp.

What is difference between incomer & outgoing type Vaccum Circuit Breaker?..

Answer / vijaykumar

there won't be any differenece b/w VCB's used in the
incomer or outgoing feeder provided the current ratings of
both are same. The protection and control wiring differs b/w
them as incomer needs only U/V,O/V,O/C,E/F protections but
the outgoing contains differnet protections depending upon
the load requirements.
